Canon of Truth
Top of Page The Canon of Truth is a memorized version of the various sacred writings that were the Earth Side foundations of the religious groups making up the Alliance of Truth. It came about when Nerth's followers (monotheists) started to arrive in large numbers from Earth and became frustrated with the lack of tools, technology and raw materials to support written language in Addewid. In order to ensure that sacred writings were not lost they would find those with the best, most complete and most clear memories and put them together on Inniscoviur, an island just north of the Innisindi, but within the Cadu Barrier. Holy Qur'an 5.68-69: Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel and that which is revealed to you from your Lord; and surely that which has been revealed to you from your Lord shall make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; grieve not therefore for the unbelieving people. Surely those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabians (Zoroastrians) and the Christians whoever believes in Allah and the last day and does good -- they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.
