The two ancient womb symbols of
Lake and
Earth together suggest a
large host anda great public ceremony, anciently
represented by the offering of many scrifices and a "sea"
of faces gathered to witness the event.

A Lake
is a place where a

Changing (Old) Yao
Resolving Multiple Old Yao
|
Yao 6
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
Lamenting and sighing,
Bitter tears.
One does not feel safe at the top.
One sighs and weeps;
But there will be no error.
|
Yao 5
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
Bringing together.
There is a position.
Not fault.
No confidence.
Sublimely persevering,
Steadfast and upright.
Regret vanishes.
One will not yet become brilliant.
One is in a place of dignity and
Unites all under one.
There will be no error.
If any do not have confidence in one,
See to it that one's virtue be great, long continued
And firmly correct,
And all occasion for repentance will disappear.
|
Yao 4
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
If one be greatly fortunate,
One will receive no blame.
Great good fotune.
No fault.
|
Yao 3
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
One sighs after union,
Yet nowhere finds any adavntage.
If on goes forward, one will not err,
Though there may be some small cause for regret.
Bringing together: sighs.
Nothing is favorable.
Going forward: no fault.
Slight humiliation.
|
Yao 2
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
One is led forward by another.
There will be good fortune,
And freedom from error.
There is entire sincerety,
And in that case
Even the small offerings
of the spring sacrifice are acceptable.
Being drawn together: good fortune.
No fault.
Be sincere and truthful;
Favorable, even using a small offering.
|
Yao 1
Resulting Kua
Initial Kua
|
Being sincere and truthful,
Not to the end.
Confused,
Still bringing together.
If crying out,
Once grasping hands: laughing.
Do not worry.
Going forward: no fault.
One has a sincere desire for union
But is unable to carry it out,
So that disorder is brought into the sphere of union.
If one cries out for help to another,
All at once one's tears will give place to smiles.
One need not mind the temporary difficulty;
As one goes forward,
There will be no error.
