Earth Side Life

Miryam was born to Joachim and Ann, a Hebrew couple living in Nazareth, in the area surrounding the Sea of Galilee. Ann and Joachim where strongly traditional Hebrews, in that they followed the spiritual tradition of worshipping Nerth (also known as Yahweh or Jehovah, which are referring to the same Hebrew word "YHWH", which was never uttered because of its sacred value to the Hebrews).

They struggled to extract a living from the land of Galilee, which lacked sufficient rainfall to provide a consistent, dependable means of sustenance. On good years, where there was enough rain to produce some excess in food, they would travel a few miles to the town of Magdala, where Cren's temple was located, in addition to street markets where their mutton, wool, olives, figs and pomegranates could be sold for money or other goods that they needed.

It was on one of these trips to Magdala that Miryam met another young girl by the name of Loruhamah, with whom she quickly became close friends. They met when Loruhamah ran into Miryam as Loruhamah was running recklessly through the crowd at the marketplace. She was evading a merchant from whom she has stolen a pair of sandals. As soon as they bodies came in contact with each other, Miryam's world would change forever.

Whenever Miryam's family was in Magdala at at the market, she would find Loruhamah and they would play underneath the tables, feeding each other figs and dates that would occasionally fall over the edge as goods were measured for sale. Eventually, Loruhamah would take Miryam to Cren's Temple, where Loruhamah lived, to play. Her mother was a priestess in the temple and had access to even the most sacred areas of the temple.
