Synopsis

When Miryam became pregnant, as a result of Cren's impregnation
of her, Miryam's extended family became ashamed of Miryam's
condition. Even though they knew of her involvement with Cren's
temple in Magdala, they were able to ignore the situation until
the pregnancy occurred.
In order to mitigate the social and political impact of the situation
on the family at large, Yoshef, one of Miryam's cousins, was selected
to approach Miryam with a proposal of marriage. If Miryam accepted,
then Yoshef was to present himself as the father and be committed to
raise the child according to Hebrew customs and according to the
dictates of their god Yahweh (Nerth).
