Diawl and Elijah conspire to establish a contest between Jezebel's priests from Cren's temple and Elizah's priests from Nerth's temple. When Cren's priests approached the alter with their offerings to Cren, calling upon Cren to rain down fire to consume their sacrifice, Elijah's priests descended upon them and killed them all. When Cren's fire came, her priests were already dead and Elijah's priests took the credit for the fire, as though it was from Nerth. All witnesses to the event were killed, except for Elijah's priests, who incorporated their version of the event into their oral history. |
