Selection Table : Vol 1 Synopsis : Vol 1 Outline

Volume I of Fractured Paradise, The Awakening of the Henin, tells the story of the Henin, the Ones Who Have Always Been. The narrative begins at a point before the Henin have differentiated from the Inoleth, as told by one of the older Cwedl Tree to one who is younger.

The story tells of Ruvel's awakening, and the following disturbance that rippled throughout the Inoleth, awakening the rest of the Henin.

From the original chaos and silence of the Inoleth rose twelve voices: twelve entities of such scope, power and presence that they filled the infinite reaches of the Inoleth, and they demanded to exert their will upon all their was, but they found that they could not accomplish anything laws could be established that would bring order, continuity and clarity to their existence.

It is this emergence of the twelve Henin that is documented within the first Volume of David Maple-Green's account of how the three levels of Creative Manifestation came into existence and evolved as the Henin, Humans, and all of the life forms within the Inoleth interact with each other.
