Today's Datan from the Darogan speaks of a Primal Quest, with no changing Pelider, leaving the reading stable at Primal Quest.

I feel as though I am on a Primal Quest. My birth to a young woman who had rejected her Jewish upbringing in Boston and had embraced earth-based spirituality was a good start for me. Not knowing who my father is has given me freedoms that I would otherwise have had, since and expectations from the culture at large has been mitigated by the context that my mother brought me up in. George coming into my life during my first year of college also helped me escape man of the pitfalls this society lays out in front of us, especially if we are gay, but I have know plenty of "heteros" who have felt trapped.

George saved me the wasted time of such things as trying to act "straight", perhaps even to the point of dating women, or worse, marrying one, like he did. He simply encouraged me to be who I am.

I met him at the Caradog Welsh Pub in Minneapolis at the Open Microphone that is held there every Tuesday night. mother was there every week with her latest poems, something she did until she died. She and George became good friends over the years and I grew very comfortable with his presence. It was my mother who realized the depth of my feeling for George, but she never pushed me to him. She let the relationship take its own course, a path I was not expecting at all.

Praise be,
The Blessed Three
